Güler Erol

Güler is an exciting young Turkish artist who uses her artistic talent to explore issues facing the world today.   Our collection  includes pictures Güler put together as a representation of women’s independence and her perceptions of life on Turkey’s Black Sea coast.

Born in Rize, on the Black Sea coast of Turkey she graduated with a first class honours from the KTU (Black Sea Technical University) Art Faculty.   In 1996 Güler joined the aforementioned department as a Research Assistant and achieved an MA in 1997.   She currently teaches within the KTU but still finds time to indulge in her art.

Working with oils Güler likes to play with imagery so the onlooker gets a different interpretation and perspective each time they look.   Her work has been shown in Istanbul both as solo exhibitions and alongside other contemporary artists.   We are delighted to be able to share this up and coming artist with a wider Western audience.
